Chezwin Timm's talent was identified by Natasha van der Walt, Central Gauteng and until end of 2009 Natasha was Chezwin's personal coach. Natasha advised that the National Coach take over and from January 2010 Chezwin is at the HPC, Pretoria and coached by the National Coach.

The TOP TEN Competition took place Saturday 8:30 -  13:30. Friday 5 Feb, Saturday after TOP TEN Competition and Sunday 7 Feb we had a training Camp for the Jannie Jansen competitors.

 

Congratulations to the following gymnasts who are invited to compete in the National Top Ten Competition, (this selection is based on 2009 results).  This prestigious competition is to be held on Saturday 6 February 2010.

It is very important  that Riana is informed in writing, a.s.p., but before 25 January if  a gymnast will not be able to compete in the TOP TEN. If a coach fails to inform Riana before or on set date, of withdrawal of gymnast, he/she will be liable for double the entry fee.

COMPETITION DETAILS

The Top Ten competition is scheduled to take place on Saturday 6 February 2010 at Korfbal Park, Gezina, Pretoria.  The invited gymnasts are automatically entered but participation needs to be confirmed by region and/or coach in writing ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it / fax 012 331 5652) not later than  25 January 2010 -Gymnasts who are unable to compete and who neglect to notify Riana Bezuidenhout by 25 January 2010  will have to pay double the entry fee.  Responsibility lies with region and club to see that the correct procedure is followed.  Regions remain responsible for correct payment of entry fees.  Payment by gymnast to region, regions to pay directly to SAGF - copy of accompanying deposit slip  to be faxed to (012) 331 5652  -  or at competition to Riana

Entry Fees

R180 for first event,  R70 for second event.  PDI gymnasts R50 per event.

PLEASE NOTE

No gymnast will be allowed to compete:

·         unless proof of payment has been submitted

·         all outstanding National and International trampoline accounts have been settled

·         competition cards handed in as specified

TRAINING CAMP

 

Venue: Frederika Sportstadium (Korfbalpark) Gezina

Time:  Friday 5 February  -  14:30-17:30

           Saturday 6 February - 15:00-18:00

           Sunday 7 February - 9:00-13:00

 

Costs: For Jannie Jansen and Africa Championship Competitiors, free of charge. All other competitors  R200 p.p.

 

NB  - This training camp is compulsory for all Jannie Jansen competitors who did not compete at the World Championships, World Age Groups and SA Gym Games.

 

The training camp is also an opportunity for talented gymnasts who did not make the Jannie Jansen competition to try and qualify for the Jannie Jansen competition.

 

Regional coaches kindly complete the accompanying registration form for gymnasts and coaches attending the training camp and submit by 25 January to Helen.

SECOND TRIAL AND TRAINING CAMP

The Jannie Jansen competition will be the first trial for the Indo Pacific Championships. To save on travel and accommodation costs. The second trial and training camp will take place at 2 different venues. For competitors in the North it will take place in Pretoria, for competitors in the South it will take place either in Port Elizabeth or Cape Town. Eastern Cape and Western Province will each receive a form to complete, after receipt of documents, Programme Management will decide who should host it.
